Friday Club - Anglican Parish of Sorrento with Rye

The Friday Club is a community outreach of the Anglican Parish of Sorrento and Rye. Formed in 2003 (then known as the Mental Health Drop-in Centre) the club operates on a Friday from St Andrews hall in Lyons St, Rye. Run solely by Volunteers, we provide a relaxing, peaceful space for persons who live with or who are recovering from the restrictions of mental illness. We enjoy a meal together provided by our talented Cooks for a gold coin donation.

We are always looking for volunteers to cook and provide companionship to the wonderful group of people who drop in. No need to make a reservation. Just be there at 11am to chat or join in activities before 12noon lunch. We also organise subsidised outings for a nominal fee, with the donations covering the shortfall.

Volunteers and donations are greatly appreciated. Don’t miss the opportunity to join an incredible group for fellowship and understanding of the challenges associated with living with mental illness.
